Ivy College Adopts Pioneering 1:1:1 Company Model to Drive Sustainable Change

Ivy4Good_finalSydney, 15 May 2015 – Ivy College, one of Australia’s leading online education providers, today launches its workplace giving and volunteering program, Ivy4Good.

As part of Ivy’s commitment to enable choice and opportunity for every Australian, the company joins a growing number of elite businesses participating in the 1:1:1 initiative to support the wider community and generate real change.

This involves a commitment to donate:

  • 1% of profit (via charitable donations)
  • 1% of product (via student scholarships), and
  • 1% of time (via each staff member volunteering 4 days per year)

This pioneering philanthropic company model has also been adopted by other impressive organisations, including Salesforce.com, Google and Yelp – all as part of a pledge to drive sustainable global change.

To deliver on this promise, Ivy has partnered with Good Company, Australia’s leading skilled volunteer matching website that supports over 1500 Australian charities.

Ivy College’s CEO, Peter Mobbs estimates that in its first year the Ivy4Good initiative will contribute in excess of 4,500 hours to community service and will also give directly back to the Australian community via a series of scholarships and charitable donations.
