Productivity hacks to keep you on track

Productivity hacks to keep you on track

Everyone is looking for ways to be more productive. Whether it’s at work, through your studies or in your day to day personal life. Here are 11 of our top productivity tips to help you stay on top of your days.

1. Go back to basics

Get that 8 hours of sleep. Eat breakfast daily. Exercise regularly.

2. ‘Me’ morning time

Allocate a time to check your social media, news sites and personal emails. Then close the windows.

3. Clear-defined tasks

Ask yourself what needs to be done next to finish the project?

4. Set your goals

Make sure you set S.M.A.R.T goals and focus. Avoid multi-tasking before you have finished the task at hand.

5. Check-in times

Schedule time in your day to look at emails or check IMs. Don’t leave them open all day as they can affect your productivity.

6. 15-minute walks

Get outside in the fresh air a few times a day to give your mind a body a break.

7. Plan meeting days

If possible plan 2 days weekly for meetings. The others will be task days.

8. Switch up the scenery

Move to a different part of the house or enjoy a new environment to keep your motivation levels up. Studying online at Ivy enables you to take your studies with you on the go – the beach, the office, the family home and beyond!

9. Don’t bring it home

When you get home, relax. Taking proper time out, away from your work, gives you new energy and refreshes your mind.

10. Be self-aware

Recognise what keeps you on track and what derails or distracts you. Take ownership of the distractions and implement strategies to deal with them.

11. Remember the WHY

Remember your passion, your motivation and your reason for choosing the career that you did.
